Oppo is launching Super VOOC charging technology might launch in 2018

Oppo is working on a new smartphone under its Find-series. Rumors suggest that the company might be launching Find 9 smartphone as its flagship device in 2018. To recap, Oppo last launched a Find-series smartphone in 2014. The official date of the launch is
not known yet.
According to technode, the upcoming Oppo Find 9 might come with the company’s fast charging technology called Super VOOC. The report further suggests that the phone might also come with 5X Precision optical zoom. Oppo claims that Super VOOC technology can fully charge the device in 15 minutes. The technology will also charge the battery to nearly half in just five minutes. It uses a voltage less than 5V and dynamically regulates the current. The charging speed is achieved by combining the flash charging system, a customized battery and a new Super VOOC Flash Charge adapter. This technology was showcased at MWC 2016.

Further, rumors also suggest that the smartphone might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. As of now, rumors have it that Snapdragon 845 will be present in upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9-duo, and Xiaomi’s next flagship.

• In terms of specifications, leaks in the past suggest that the smartphone might feature a 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) dual edge AMOLED display. On the camera front, the smartphone is likely to sport a 21-megapixel rear camera with SmartSensor image stabilization, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, which is similar to the Oppo F1 Plus. The phone is also expected to come with a 4,100mAh battery.

Meanwhile, a recent report by CounterPoint reveals that Oppo has topped in the Asian market, with a market share of 15 percent. The company stands ahead of other smartphone makers including Vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung, and Huawei. In Asia, Oppo was followed by Vivo with a market share of 13 percent, while Xiaomi and Samsung took the third position with a share of 12 percent.
